Owner Shaun Govender established Engineering Solutions in 2008 by purchasing an existing engineering company which was about to close down and taking over all its assets, including staff. Although this KwaZulu-Natal based company has the equipment and skills to offer specialist turner machining, tool and die, jig making, boiler making, welding and maintenance services.

A new name for the business clearly wasn't enough to make Engineering Solutions stand out from its competitors. Since adopting the plan, Engineering Solutions has secured contracts with large customers including Richards Bay Minerals and Transnet, among others. The boom in business has led to an increase of 400% in the company's turnover. Seda has also assisted Engineering Solutions achieve ISO 9000 certification. Currently the company is employing six people.
